Why TBworks Trial Balance Accounting Software?

TBworks Trial Balance Accounting Software was created and designed by an Accountant in public practice for Accountants in public practice. After entering into public accounting, the primary software used was WorkPapers Plus. It was a great, easy to use, trial balance software that did the job on most engagements. Then over the years, Workpapers Plus, and a similiar easy to use software, ATB, were gone. The large companies bought out and discontinued all the smaller easy-to-use software and began offering very complex and expensive “engagement” type software. There are still a few trial balance only software products on the market, but from first hand experience, they are extremely difficult to use and not user friendly. But now, TBworks Trial Balance Accounting Software is being introduced as an easy-to-use, affordable trial balance software.

Tabs vs. Windows

The main feature of TBworks that separates it from the rest, is the ability to use tabs. Like most software today, for example Excel or your browser, Tabbed Document Interface, better known as tabs, is the functionality that allows separate documents to be open and active in the same window. This feature allows users to run different tasks, such as the working trial balance and adjusting journal entries, concurrently without needing to close either one or move between windows. Tabs are a simple feature that contributes significantly to making the software easier to navigate. One of the main arguments for using tabbed software is that it increases the efficiency of navigating the software. Tabbed software keeps each page as is; users can open different tasks in new tabs while retaining the main page in its original condition. This is particularly useful when recording journal entries or account changes and showing the effects of the changes throughout the entire software without every opening another window!
